‘Sing Me a Love Song’ ends Iran shooting

‘Sing Me a Love Song’, a dual Iranian-Turkish film directed by Mehrdad Ghafarzadeh has concluded the final part of the shooting stage in Iran, and is currently going through the editing stage.

According to Ghafarzadeh, the film has been registered to attend the 37th annual Fajr Film Festival and the crew is working hard to ensure that the film will be ready in time for the event.

Produced by Amir-Shahab Razavian, the movie is a joint Iranian-Turkish production written by a group of writers from both countries.

‘Sing Me a Love Song’ is a story about two young delivery drivers working at a restaurant in Istanbul, one of whom occasionally performs concerts for children at a local foster home, with the two making it big when a video they created goes viral. In the mean time, two Iranian siblings on a business trip to Istanbul, seeking to establish a branch of their family business, are approached by a shady real estate agent who insists on pushing the sale of the foster home to the two siblings using different schemes. When one of the delivery drivers who is an advocate of the foster children disagrees with the sale, the two siblings find themselves entangled in an unwanted situation.

The film’s cast consists of a lineup of Turkish and Iranian actors.

Iranian actors for the film will include Pejman Bazeghi, Afsaneh Pakrou, Pejman Jamshidi, Omid Rohani, Sara Ahmadi, and Farnaz Mahmoudi.

The Turkish cast will feature Yusuf Çim, Ali Burak Ceylan, Hazal Tuesan, Aysen Inci, Samra Dincer and Elif Erol.
